Warehouse Barge

A big covered wagon under a high ribbed canopy, wide and deep. Cargo only. She ships no sailors.

Deep Barge

A heavy covered wagon for a serious trade run, under a tall ribbed canopy. Hold space only. No crew.

Grand Trade Barge

The finest covered wagon afloat: 3000 cargo under a vaulted canopy with upswept ends. No sailors.

Olympian Trade Lighter

The merchant prince's barge: amphora stacks under a sky-blue silk awning, a marble gazebo with a gilded dome amidships, and two Zeus lightning cannons astern that blast any ship on your tail. While she is hitched the sea leaves you alone: no fire, leaks, rats, scurvy, squalls or cracked masts. Ring of lift bags: let them go and she slips under the sea; sail over her golden buoy and press Retrieve to float her back up. Cargo only. Maritime 200.

What she does

• 2 Zeus lightning cannons astern: 450 damage a bolt every five seconds, 150 m, at any hostile ship chasing you

Olympian Ore Smelter

A gilded barge with a marble bunker of ore and a great glowing furnace amidships. While you sail she smelts the iron ore in your hold into bronze ingots, a few units every half minute, so you reach port with the dearer cargo. Lift bags to sink her out of harm's way. Trade 200.

Olympian Log Mill

Stacked logs on a gilded barge and a water-wheel mill on her deck. While you sail she saws the timber in your hold into fine ancient timber, a few units every half minute. Lift bags to sink her out of harm's way. Trade 200.

Olympian Cold Hold

Gun Lighter

A small wooden tank with no turret. Ninety extra cannon, a longer reach, and one blast mine she lobs like a mortar. A short flame jet now and then. No cargo and no sailors. Maritime 60.

A wooden tank with no turret. 260 extra cannon with a longer reach. She lobs three mines, throws flame, and now and then a missile. No cargo. No sailors.

• Mines: Blast mine, Leak mine (lobbed like a mortar: 3 at a time, every 14 s, up to 52 m)
• Flame jets: 200 damage every 7 s, reach 38 m

Siege Wagon

The end-game wooden tank. 650 extra cannon, the longest reach, five mines lobbed at random like a mortar, jets of flame, and missiles. No cargo and no sailors.

• Mines: Leak mine, Confusion mine, Blast mine (lobbed like a mortar: 5 at a time, every 10 s, up to 78 m)
